This collection of maps made by the Schubert & Franzke publishing house is a bold attempt to bring together under one cover bicycle routes from a large area located in the immediate vicinity of the municipality of Cluj-Napoca or in the mountainous or hilly areas where the people of Cluj (generally) practice tourist activities, such as hiking, cycling, winter sports, fishing or leisure in various forms (camping, paddling, SUP, water sports, boating, etc.).
The bicycle routes were established between the years 2021-2022, in collaboration with members of Clujul Pedalaza Sports Club.
This material is part of Muntii Nostri collection with leaflets, following MB02 - Cycling routes in the Banat Mountains, MB03 - Cycling routes in the surroundings of Brasov, MB04 - Cycling routes in Maramures and Rodnei Mountains, and MB05 - Cycling Routes in Bucovina.
It is actually a recent update of the first cycling map in the collection, MB01, published in 2010, entitled '100 bicycle tours in Cluj area'. Due to the expansion of constructions, the modification of the fenced lands or the alteration of the forest roads proposed in that issue, this map comes as an update.
The tourist area near Cluj, generically called Cluj surroundings actually stretches over the administrative territories of Cluj, Alba and Bihor counties and consists of locations with an old tradition as tourist hubs for the inhabitants of Cluj-Napoca and not only.
