The Via delle Bocchette was the last long-term alpine infrastructure project to be carried out in the Brenta group and continues to be widely appreciated. Since the 1930s, the Alpine Guides who creat- ed it have had a precise idea of what it should be: a way of enabling non-mountaineers to stay in the mountains without having to summit the peaks. With this new project, the main peaks of the Brenta group can be combined into a 6-day high altitude traverse or, alternatively, climbed individually as variants to the existing Via delle Bocchette.
