Bunker Research is the hidden history of modernism in the mountains.
It documents writer Max Leonard and photographer Camille McMillan’s quest to uncover the little-known and now crumbling Second World War fortifications in the Alps, which were constructed by the French in the face of an Italian Fascist invasion.
However, things did not turn out quite as the French planned…
The first edition was a beautiful and award-winning book (Best Self-Published Book at the British Book Design and Production Awards 2016).
